Fairground Lights

You know that Autumn is in full swing when the fair comes to town! I decided to grab a tripod and head down to take some long exposure photos (by this point I’d already had my fill of rides and food!).

I love how you never quite know what the results will be.

This is one of the more abstract ones, it somehow reminds me of outer space :) :

This one looks like a lolly! And at about 20m tall that’s one giant lolly (and there are several people are sitting on the ends of it)! It was slower than the other rides, so I set the shutter speed to 4 seconds in order to get a full circle (the others are about half a second I think), with the aperture at f20 to compensate for all the extra light coming in to the camera.
