I seized the package from the postman far too eagerly, tore open the box and marvelled; a Canon 5D mark iii!
Then waited.
And waited…2 and a half hours becomes such a long time to charge a battery.
What to photograph when you’ve just got your hands on a brand new, fully charged camera? Pets! (poor things) :)
There are hundreds of reviews about the 5D3 so I won’t bore you with the technicalities. Lets just say that I love it. From the 5D it’s an improvement in essentially every way I can imagine, the quality of the photos is stunning, and the ISO handling is just brilliant too (the tabby cat is at ISO 1600 with just a little bit of noise reduction).
Jealous!
:) I’ve been saving all my pounds and pennies to get my hands on one!
Is it as good as they say? Lovely shots of the furry ones :)
Thanks! In my humble opinion I say definitely yes!! The detail you can capture is amazing, the pics look great straight off the camera, it handles noise like a dream, and there are sooooo many features to play around with.. it seems as though so much thought has gone into every aspect of it :) What camera do you use?
It’s a Panasonic and it’s so outdated it’s one step up from being a wind up toy! ;)
:) Aw, with age comes great charm!
Haha, true, and with cash comes a crazy cool camera. I’m starting saving now! xxx
:) best of luck to you – and happy travelling!
I’m with Ailsa :)
A dog really doesn’t look happy at being a model :)
No, I don’t think he felt the same way about a new camera as me! All he really wanted to do was sleep :)
I’d be equally happy with the dog, the cat or the camera! (OK, maybe the latter gets my vote…) G
